The Place to Bee

Our café and old fashioned sweet shop in the heart of Kingsthorpe

Our sweets range from a sweet fix of your favourite childhood pic n mix to sophisticated favours  for your big day!

The Place to Bee is also a provision for Special Educational Needs Students aged 19-25. We offer a work based placement relating to all aspects of Retail.

We have exciting opportunities to learn about Health and Safety in the Work place, Customer Service, Food Hygiene and safety and gain certificated qualifications

Students are involved in every aspect of the business to develop life long skills which will enable them to access employment in the future.

Our external students attend our provision for 50 weeks of the year, they are offered a trial two hour taster session to see if they might want to work within a retail environment, this encompasses an induction into who we are and what we do.

Here is a little sneak peek into the products our Place to Bee students create:

We  have introduced Pic N Mix bags that are great for movie nights or just to fix that sugar craving.
There are 3 available sizes- Queen Bee (350g) £4.50,Honey Bee (200g)£3 and Baby Bee(75g) £1.50. There is a wide range of sweeties to choose from, including Vegetarian and Vegan options. We are also creating seasonal pic n mix bags and we will be filling these with lots of festive themed sweets for Christmas 2020.

As Christmas is just around the corner, The Place to Bee offer a range of gifts. Our brown Kraft Spread Box can be filled to the brim with sweets and personalised to make it great for any occasion. Sweet cones are a great party gift,they are available in sizes Small(100g)£2 and Large(200g)£3.00. The Place to Bee is open to creativity and we are and we are happy to make your sweet dreams a reality !

In addition we can make your special day go with a bang, by providing you with bespoke wedding favours, or baby shower favours.

The Place to Bee is proud to work with multiple local charities in Northamptonshire in Northamptonshire. Currently, we support The Lewis Foundation by preparing 2000 bags of sweets for their Cancer care packages and we hope to continue building relationships with other charities and local businesses within our community.
